    Find Out How to Become a Driving Instructor

    If you would like to free yourself from the office and have a passion for teaching then maybe you should look in to becoming a driving instructor. An Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) is someone who has been tested and registered by the Driving Standards Agency.

    To become a driving instructor and charge for your services it is mandatory for you to have passed the ADI.

    As a driving instructor you will get to pass on your knowledge and experience to learner drivers. Being an instructor can be a rewarding career choice. You will be left with a feeling of satisfaction of a job well done each time one of your pupils passes their driving test.


    Driving Instructor Training

    There are many training courses available for those who wish to become a driving instructor. All of which will ultimately qualify you as an Approved Driving Instructor.  The training is split in to three sections.

    Firstly you will study and be tested on the theoretical aspects of driving (which includes a multiple choice section and a video based hazard perception section).

    The second part of your qualifying examination will be based on your driving ability. The test comprises a driving technique exam and an eyesight test.

    Once you have qualified as a driving instructor you will be free to start your career and proceed in a direction that best suits you. At this juncture you have several options available to you. Firstly you may wish to work for an established driving school, especially if you undertook your instructor training with them.
