This is a standard requirement for people who wish to become a nursery nurse or nursery assistants. It also provides a stepping stone for those who wish to move up the promotional ladder and further their career.

The children’s care course incorporates every aspect of childcare and includes teaching on the subjects of: physical and emotional care to all the children, keeping the children amused, administering first aid as and when required, providing a safe environment and liaising with any nursery assistants and giving them a clear indication of their responsibilities towards the children in your care.

What are the prospects after nursery nurse NVQ courses?

Becoming a nursery nurse is a worthwhile and fulfilling job role and you’ll be helping with the educational and emotional development of the children you look after. The average pay for a fully qualified nursery nurse in the UK is between £15k – £18k depending on location.

This type of role can also be a great practice for those who would like to advance their career and aim to become a nursery manager. In addition to the level 3 NVQ you would be expected for you to gain a NVQ level 4 or BTEC equivalent in “Advanced Practice and Work with Children and Families” prior to applying for any nursery managerial position in the UK.
