Increasingly, young people are becoming more sceptical about formal education. The rise in tuition fees, and asking questions like if it’s really necessary to follow up studies and gain university degrees, to gain entry into their career of choice.
Fortunately, there’s distance learning there. A route that many a young person is taking to launch their careers. With advantages of gaining work experience, combined with the earnings while studying, it can eliminate student debt, and do so much more for early career starts.
Take the banking sector as one example. If you were to aspire at becoming a CEO of a leading bank, you’d probably follow your passion and study towards a university degree. Fortunately, banks and many other businesses, recognise the importance of internal training. This is why there’s so many entry-level jobs accessible for young people, with on-the-job training provided.

With the economic uncertainty witnessed by young people today, more youths see are seeing their future as an employer, as opposed to an employee. They’ve witnessed first-hand during the recession, how working for someone else does not offer much in terms of job security.
With that in mind, an increasing amount of young people aiming to set up their own businesses and take charge of their own futures. That’s something that is being done much earlier than previously.
People as young as 19 and 20 years old, are able to have gained relevant credentials, training, and work experience to put them into a position where they’re skilled in not only their line of work, but also with business degrees.
