About us

academy+ (formerly Be-A Education Ltd) is an ecosystem giving individuals and SMEs access to learning and development opportunities often only accessible to blue-chip executives.

Founded in November 2013, Be-A Education initially focused on the B2C market with its consumer-facing brand, New Skills Academy. It had one clear goal: to create comprehensive, affordable and high-quality training courses.

Staff Skills Training launched in 2017: a solution for the B2B market, helping SMEs to upskill frontline workers more easily.

In 2021, the company was acquired by London-based family office, Addition Capital, and has since launched a B2C subscription product and online learning community; expanded its product range to include professional development resources for individuals and SMEs; and re-platformed the B2B and B2C LMSs and websites onto stable technology to enable faster product innovation.

The company rebranded in 2024 to become academy+, with its sub brands now known as New Skills academy+ and Staff Skills academy+.
